Why It’s Hard to Book a Celebrity Directly
Whilst it might seem like a money saving option to try to book a celebrity by contacting them directly to try and secure a booking but it really isn’t always a good idea.
Very rarely will you be able to locate contact details for the celebrity themselves and very rarely do they personally review their fan mail. If you managed to make contact with their management or publicist you wouldn’t necessarily get any further. Most will not be interested when approached by an individual and will fail to return your calls. This can mean that the delay forces you to hire someone else in time for your event anyway.
If you want to book a celebrity it is much simpler and easier to go through an agency. Whilst you might fear it is expensive, the agency will have the power to negotiate and liaise with the celebrity. So give it a go!
