I got into a really intense discussion just last night with two of my friends who I went to high school with. I was explaining to them that if you go to school and get a degree in a specialized field like mine, you will always make the best Culinary arts salary. This may not always be true in other fields of work, but if you are a chef the places that will hire you want to know that you have been properly trained and that you can actually handle a busy kitchen. I am so glad that I finally got my friend to grasp that the reason I make so much money is my degree.
