Global Middle Class is Growing
Industries change every day. Markets fluctuate, and that is always a challenge for food processors. The World Bank has some statistics that may shock you. They estimate that the global middle class will grow to 1.15 billion by 2030 from 430 million in 2000. That number is huge! By 2030, it is expected that developing countries will house 93 percent of the global middle class. In the food plant design industry, we know that these statistics mean that the world is changing fast, and business will have to change with it. China and India will account for two-thirds of this incredible expansion!
